Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke made serious allegations against Japanese metal band Crossfaith regarding misconduct involving a minor. This led to the band’s removal from their European tour and the subsequent cancellation of all remaining shows. Radke made the allegations in a video that he later deleted, as documented by Falling In Reverse fan posts.
Radke’s video specifically accused a 37-year-old member of Crossfaith of attempting to meet with a 14-year-old girl.
“Crossfaith was on my European Tour with me, and then we found out that one of the members tried to meet up with a 14-year-old girl,” Radke said in the video. “He’s 37 years old. Once we found out, we tried to quietly kick them off and make sure they weren’t at any other festivals. The kids are not safe, and we need to protect these teenagers.”
Crossfaith issued an official statement following the allegations. The statement addressed the situation and announced the cancellation of their remaining European tour dates.
“In light of the current situation and the speculation circulating online, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining four shows of our European tour,” the band stated on Instagram. “Those shows included performances at Vainstream Festival, Jera On Air, Resurrection Fest, and Evil Live.”
The band emphasized their reasoning behind the decision in their statement.
“This is not a decision we take lightly, but one we feel is necessary to avoid any unexpected incidents and to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved – our fans, our crew, and the festival organisers,” Crossfaith continued.
The cancelled shows were part of Crossfaith’s European tour. The tour was scheduled to run alongside Falling in Reverse’s performances at major festivals.
The controversy has escalated beyond the initial allegations. Additional details have emerged about the scope of Radke’s accusations and the band’s response to the situation.
The PRP revealed that Radke specifically named guitarist Daiki Koide as the member involved in the alleged misconduct. The Falling in Reverse frontman also shared screenshots of the alleged conversation and revealed he had discussed the situation directly with Crossfaith vocalist Kenta Koie.
Radke expressed frustration with the band’s handling of the situation. He stated his disappointment that Crossfaith refused to remove the accused member from their lineup. Metal Anarchy confirmed that Radke said he was initially willing to handle the matter quietly but felt compelled to speak publicly when the band declined to take action.
“I was gonna be silent about it and let it go away and let the band fire the guy. They refused to fire him, so that means the kids are not protected,” Radke stated in his video. “You need to protect these fucking teenagers.”
The fallout from these allegations has extended to other festival organizers. Lambgoat documented that Radke also called out festivals like Graspop, urging them to reconsider booking Crossfaith due to the unresolved misconduct issues. This controversy has placed the Japanese metalcore band under intense scrutiny within the metal community. It raises broader questions about safety protocols and accountability in the touring industry.
