Ronnie Radke Shares The Diagnosis Behind His Voice Troubles

Ronnie Radke, frontman of Falling In Reverse, recently took to Instagram to open up about his ongoing voice troubles that have led to the cancellation of several shows, including three upcoming performances. In the post shared on the band’s account, Radke provided insight into the diagnosis behind his voice struggles and its impact on his performances.

Radke’s voice issues have caused significant disruption to Falling In Reverse’s touring schedule. The band had to back out of their performance at Earthday Birthday 2023. A subsequent gig at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, PA, scheduled at the end of April, also had to be canceled. This marked the third time the band had to withdraw from a scheduled performance in just one week, all due to the same voice problem.

Problems with his voice prompted him to seek help from a specialist. It turned out that Radke had laryngitis and inflammation all along, which meant more vocal resting for the rocker to avoid any possible damage to his vocal cords and possible flare-ups.

Ronnie Radke’s words about the cancellation of shows due to his voice read:

“As many of you know, I have been having some issues with my voice over the last week. I have now seen a specialist and was diagnosed with laryngitis and inflammation, requiring me to go on further vocal rest to prevent damage to my vocal cords.

I truly hate to do this, but I will have to cancel our next 3 performances:

May 2 – Springfield, MO The Shrine Mosque
May 4 – Milwaukee, WI 93X’s Twin City Takeover
May 6 – St. Paul, MN HOG Fest

The festivals in Milwaukee and St. Paul will go on as planned, just without us performing. For our headline show in Springfield, refunds are available at your point of purchase. I love you all and am super thankful for your understanding and support. I’ll see you all on May 27th at Sonic Temple.”

Radke’s struggles and the recent cancellations have undoubtedly been challenging for both the band and their fans, but they are hopeful for the future. Falling In Reverse is set to return to the stage on May 27th at Sonic Temple, provided Radke’s voice is up to the task. While the situation is not ideal, to say the least, Radke’s health must come first to ensure many more performances in the years to come.
