Robert Plant To Jimmy Page And John Paul Jones, ‘It’s Never Too Late’

Robert Plant recently took to Instagram to send his birthday wishes to his former Led Zeppelin bandmates, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.

The vocalist shared a photo of Led Zeppelin with the four original members and wrote:

“It’s never too late. Happy birthday, John, and happy birthday, Jimmy… Here’s to the wonderful dancing days…”

Fan Reactions To Plant’s Message

The birthday message came after Page turned 80 on January 9 and Jones celebrated his 78th birthday on January 3. Robert’s photo and words were highly appreciated by the fans. One of them noted in the comment section:

“Robert, this is very sweet and touching…”

Another user addressed the photo and said:

“One of the most fabulous band pictures ever! Pure gold! Brilliant.”

One other Zeppelin fan also sent their birthday wishes, writing:

“Many happy returns to them both! Thank you for the lifetime of inspiration and taking us over the hills.”

It has been more than 15 years since Plant, Page, and Jones played together as Led Zeppelin. Their final show happened on December 10, 2007, at the Ahmet Ertegun tribute concert in London. Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, played the drums during this performance.

Plant’s Participation In The 2024 Teenage Cancer Trust Concerts

As for other news from the singer, he was announced among the performers for the 2024 Teenage Cancer Trust concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall from March 19 to 24. The 2024 event will be the final one organized by Roger Daltrey, who has played a key role in raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust for 24 years. The singer noted in a statement:

“The 32 million [pounds, or about $40.6 million]] raised from these concerts has been the foundation for the 28 specialized units within the [U.K.’s National Health Service], as well as specialist nurses and youth workers to be there for a young person when cancer has turned their world upside down.”

Besides Plant, the lineup also includes the Who, Noel Gallagher, Eddie Vedder, The Chemical Brothers, and more. Tickets for the March 18 and 20 concerts will be available starting this Friday, January 12, at 9 a.m. local time.
