Hagar’s announcement comes as anticipation builds for what promises to be one of the most significant events in heavy metal history.

Ozzy.com reported that the final show titled “Back to the Beginning” will take place on July 5 at Birmingham’s Villa Park stadium, home to Aston Villa F.C. This historic event will mark the first time the original Black Sabbath lineup featuring Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward will perform together in 20 years.

The concert holds special significance as it represents Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance as a solo artist. WMMR noted that Ozzy has been undergoing rigorous endurance training to prepare for the concert. This marks his first major stage appearance in nearly seven years due to health issues related to Parkinson’s disease and previous surgeries.

Beyond its musical importance, the event carries charitable significance. Vinyl Me Please confirmed that all profits from the show will be shared equally between Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

The choice of Birmingham as the venue holds deep meaning for the band. It represents their hometown where Black Sabbath first formed in 1968, bringing their legendary career full circle in the city where it all began.
