Bruce Hall announced a special one-night reunion concert with former REO Speedwagon members. Current vocalist Kevin Cronin will not participate in the event.

“So excited for this ONE night only event, back where it all began, in MY hometown,” Hall said. “Looking forward to reminiscing, rockin’ with the founding fathers and saying a proper goodbye.”

“Most importantly, this celebration benefits the REO Speedwagon Foundation for rare GU cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center,” he continued. “I truly believe Gary is proud and smiling down on us. Let’s Rock!”

REO Speedwagon decided to end their touring career last year. Kevin Cronin continues to perform REO songs with his own band. Bruce Hall will reunite with other former members for this special benefit concert.

The reunion show marks both an end and a new beginning for different iterations of REO Speedwagon.

WJRZ revealed that ‘irreconcilable differences’ between Cronin and Hall led to the band’s touring cessation on January 1, 2025. Hall’s recovery from back surgery also influenced this decision.

Ultimate Classic Rock confirmed the special reunion concert will take place on June 14, 2025, in Champaign, Illinois. The lineup features six former members: Neal Doughty, Alan Gratzer, Bruce Hall, Terry Luttrell, Mike Murphy, and Steve Scorfina.

The event will serve as a fundraiser for the REO Speedwagon Foundation. The foundation supports research into rare gastrointestinal cancers at Moffitt Cancer Center. The initiative also honors the memory of former member Gary Richrath, who passed away in 2015.

Consequence noted that Cronin has chosen a different path. He will join Styx for ‘The Brotherhood of Rock Tour’ in 2025. The tour includes Don Felder and several musicians from REO Speedwagon’s recent lineup.
