Former KISS drummer Peter Criss revealed details about his upcoming solo album in a recent interview with The Rock Experience With Mike Brunn on YouTube.
“I’m excited,” Criss said. “I got great players on it.”
“I got Billy Sheehan, Paul Shaffer, John 5, Michael, my guitarist, and I got Piggy from Rob Zombie,” he continued. “So it’s like a dream team band.”
“It’s a real Peter Criss album,” he added. “It’s an album I always wanted to do. And hopefully the fans will like it.”
The star-studded collaboration marks a significant milestone in Criss’s post-KISS musical journey.
Information from Peter Criss’s official website confirms the rock album’s release for fall 2025. Barry Pointer, renowned for his work with Ozzy Osbourne and Marilyn Manson, leads the production and engineering team.
The project features an expanded lineup beyond the core band members. Dennis & Sharron Collins and Cathryn Manning of the Cat5 band provide backup vocals, demonstrating Criss’s vision for a diverse musical ensemble.
Criss recently showcased his musical versatility at New York City’s Cutting Room in April 2025. His performance included renditions of classic songs such as ‘In The Midnight Hour,’ ‘Stand By Me,’ and The Beatles’ ‘With A Little Help From My Friends.’
The new album demonstrates Criss’s continued commitment to rock music. His collaborations with John 5 and Billy Sheehan connect him firmly with the contemporary rock scene.
