Perry Farrell Confirms Working On New Songs With Peter DiStefano

Porno for Pyros recently revealed on its Instagram that Perry Farrell and the guitarist Peter DiStefano are working on new material. Farrell also confirmed this information via his official Instagram.
Perry Farrell gained a reputation with his energetic band Jane’s Addiction in the mid-’80s. After releasing a few albums and arranging several massive shows, the band experienced its first break-up in 1991. Following this split, Farrell founded Porno for Pyros with his former bandmate drummer Stephen Perkins, guitarist Peter DiStefano, and bassist Martyn LeNoble.
The band debuted with the self-titled album on April 27, 1993. The song ‘Pets’ reached number 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and 53 on the UK Singles chart. ‘Cursed Female’ also achieved considerable success. The album was also certified gold in the US and Canada.
Porno for Pyros’ second and latest release was the 1996 album ‘Good God’s Urge.’ The bassist Mike Watt appeared with the band for the first time in this record, replacing Martyn LeNoble. The guitarist of Jane’s Addiction, Dave Navarro, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea played on the song ‘Freeway.’
Pornos recently replaced Jane’s Addiction during the Welcome to Rockville festival in May 2022. The band recently also gave some news that delighted their fans. The band announced on its Instagram account that they have gone back into the studio after 25 years to work on new songs by posting a photo of Farrell and DiStefano. Farrell also approved this news by sharing this post on his Instagram story.
The band wrote the following:
“That’s right; we’re back in the studio.”
