Jay Gordon Recalls Korn’s Jonathan Davis Joining Orgy For ‘Revival’

With new music on the horizon, the time has come to take a trip down memory lane to reminisce about some stand-out songs that have shaped Orgy as a band. Jay Gordon gave a snippet into a past record they collaborated on with Korn’s Jonathan Davis while speaking to Songfacts. Let’s see what the frontman had to say about this opportunity.

Gordon shared, “Having Jonathan Davis from Korn in the past on our record was a great thing for the track ‘Revival.’ They signed us, so it was awesome.” During that time, they had been signed to Korn’s new label, Elementree Records, through which they released their debut album Candyass.’

Their debut album also included one of their platinum tracks as Orgy first came up in the scene when covering ’80s new wave or pop classics was the thing to do to have hits in the charts. For Orgy, that track was the New Order cult classic ‘Blue Monday,’ which became their ticket to stardom. Adding Korn as their backbone to support them with being a part of the label and working with Davis on the track ‘Revival’ brought them a new level of success and attention in the scene.

Many years after their debut album, Orgy is now back with new material starting with their new track ‘Empty,’ which is a part of their upcoming EP. This new project will have the signature Orgy sound the band wants to put out there for their fans, and the new single is an excellent entryway to get a glimpse into what’s in store for the rest of the EP and the evolved Orgy sound.
