David Crosby Says ‘I Am At The End Of My Life’ While Talking About His Health Problems

In his recent interview with Howard Stern on The Howard Stern Show, David Crosby revealed the details about his decision to sell the rights of his music catalog and gave an update about his current health status by also highlighting that he is very close to death.

It has been known that David Crosby previously announced that he decided to sell the rights of his catalog because he couldn’t earn enough money from live performances and his recent tracks. Therefore, he sold his entire catalog to Irving Azoff’s Iconic Artists Group due to his ongoing financial problems. In one of his previous interviews, he stated that he would lose his house if he didn’t sell his works.

Moreover, Crosby’s ongoing health issues and age factor can be also regarded as the main reasons behind this unwilling sale. Also, He admitted that he couldn’t move his fingers as well as he did in the past and he had tendonitis in both hands. This health problem prevents him from performing live and even causes him to lose the ability to play guitar constantly.

During his latest interview, David Crosby emphasized that he currently doesn’t have any other health problems except tendonitis even though he is close to his eighties. However, Crosby knew that he is very close to death by saying ‘I am at the end of my life.’ So he stated that he was grateful for his every breath and wanted to keep creating and producing music until his last breath.

In Crosby’s words, he said:

“Well, you know, I am at the end of my life, Howard, and it’s a very strange thing, and here’s what I’ve come to about it…

It’s not how much time you got, because we really don’t know. I could have two weeks, I could have 10 years, it’s what you do with the time that you do have, and so I’m trying to really spend it well.

Each day that I get, I’m very grateful for, and I try to do it making music because I think the world needs music.”
