Paul Stanley Closes All The Doors About Not Ending KISS After The End Of The Road Tour

KISS the co-founder and frontman, Paul Stanley answered the question about whether they changed their decision on ending the band’s tours or not and also shared their final decision about the end of the KISS as a touring band in his interview with Download: RELOADED.

As you may remember, in one of his previous interviews, Stanley stated that the touring days of KISS had come to an end. Although they still enjoyed and would miss their shows very much, the age factor of the band members prevented them from going on. Running with 40 or 50 pounds of gear and boots with eight-inch heels on the stage started to become very dangerous for them.

However, he also confronted the devastated fans saying that the performance of KISS at the 2022 Download Festival was one of the headliners along with Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro. As you know, the 2021 Download Festival was postponed to 2022 due to the restrictions of the global pandemic. Stanley promised that their shows will be very iconic and unforgettable. The 2022 Download Festival will start on July 10, 2022.

During his interview, the promotion of their headlining in the festival, the host, Kylie Olsson asked Paul Stanley about their final decision about ending the tour days of KISS. Stanley clearly stated that the touring times of KISS will end soon because they are getting old and the stage shows are becoming more and more dangerous for them. He was sure that If they were a more casual band, they would continue until their eighties.

Here’s what he told:

“I think I’d be kidding myself if I thought otherwise. If we were just another band in t-shirts and trainers, we could do this into our eighties.

But we’re running around on stage with 40 or 50 pounds of gear and boots with eight-inch heels, and we do it well, but I also know that we can’t do it forever.

So before it reaches that point, I think it’s better that we stop. I take it really seriously, so the idea of being able to do this without end, it’s just not possible.

The one thing you realize as you get older is that at some point you stop getting older, you know? Everything comes to an end, and there are other things I want to do. And like I said, it’s just not possible to do what we do indefinitely. It’s just not.”
