Pantera Refuses To Get Canceled After Racism Accusations Toward Phil Anselmo

Despite the cancellation of their shows earlier this year, Pantera seems determined to perform in Germany. According to a recent Facebook post shared by the band’s official account, they refuse to let the controversies regarding Phil Anselmo affect their career.

Pantera was originally scheduled to take the stage at two German festivals, Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park, on June 2-4, but their shows were canceled due to the racism accusations directed at the lead singer, Phil Anselmo. The reason for the festival organizers’ decision was that the settings of these festivals had been used for Nazi party rallies, and it was considered inappropriate for Anselmo to perform there after making a Nazi salute on stage in 2016.

On the other hand, according to their recent Facebook post, Pantera is not giving up. Following the announcement by the festival organizers regarding the issue, the band arranged two new shows that will take place in Germany.

The post featuring two related posters read:

“2 more European shows! 2 June – Stuttgart & 3 June – Dresden. Public onsale starts 3 March at 11am CET.”

It appears that regardless of the cancellations made by the festival organizers and the German government, Pantera will come together with their fans in Germany. The band resists the backlash from the public due to racism allegations directed at Phil Anselmo.
