Ozzy Osbourne’s Daughter Aimée Clarifies If She Regrets Not Being A Part Of Her Family’s Reality Show
Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne‘s daughter Aimée Osbourne opened up about her decision to not appear in her family’s MTV reality series ‘The Osbournes,’ apparently, it was an easy decision for Aimée since she did not want to be in front of cameras.
As many of you are familiar with, The Osbournes was a reality show which featured the domestic life of Ozzy Osbourne and his family including his wife and manager Sharon Osbourne, their children Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne. The show premiered on MTV on March 5, 2002, and it was cited as the most-viewed series ever on MTV in its first season.
While other family members of Aimée were on the show and achieved huge pop-culture fame for appearing in the reality series, Aimée refused to appear on the show due to the feeling that doing so would typecast her and affect her musical career.
Since it does not sound like an opportunity everybody would decline, during a recent interview with The Oakland Press, Aimée Osbourne was asked whether she regrets her decision of not appearing on ‘The Osbournes.’ Apparently, Aimée did not even consider being on the show since she knew it would not make her happy at the end of the day.
Here is what Aimée said:
“No. It wasn’t even something I ever contemplated. I never saw it as an option, so it didn’t feel like a hard decision. I knew the show was never something that would have made me happy and would have benefitted me long-term. The show was real; There was no script, and I think they got some messages out there that was important, and people got to see their gentle charm and quirkiness. I think after that you saw reality TV take this perverted twist, and a lot of it is so bogus and not reality.”
