In the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Ozzy Osbourne talked about the support he received from his colleagues during his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. The rocker specifically mentioned Korn’s Jonathan Davis and shared details about the singer’s approach to his situation:
“I’ll tell you something. Since I’ve been laid up, Jonathan from Korn has been so supportive. And I didn’t really know him that well. I texted him when his wife died. I said, ‘If you need a chat, just get on the phone with me.’ He’s never forgotten that. He’s been so consistent in the last five years, ‘Come on brother, you can do it.’ It means so much to you when you f**king light up. And Slash has been the same.”
Osbourne’s Condition And The Support From Other Names

Osbourne made his disease public in January 2020 on ‘Good Morning America.’ Two years after this, he revealed that not just Davis but other musicians like Tony Iommi and Slash also offered help, especially after he underwent surgery on his back and neck.
In fact, about Slash’s support, the singer once said:
“It’s amazing when you get sick, how many people don’t call anymore. Slash is a gentleman. He’s such a nice man … If I was to phone Slash now and he was in town, whatever I wanted, he’d be around.”
The Disease’s Effect On Osbourne’s Career

The surgery mentioned above happened around the time Osbourne was about to release his latest album ‘Patient Number 9.’ Soon after the operation, the signer updated fans about his condition on X by writing:
“I am now home from the hospital, recuperating comfortably. I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers, and well wishes during my recovery.”
Osbourne was ready to hit the stage for his farewell tour, ‘No More Tours II,’ shortly after the surgery. But, due to his health condition, he canceled the 2023 dates and announced his retirement from touring earlier this year.
