Ozzy Osbourne shared a moment on his podcast, ‘The Madhouse Chronicles,’ saying he’s not as sober as he used to be.

In the latest episode ‘Drugs and Sobriety,’ Osbourne and his co-host Billy Morrison discussed their past drug use and addiction struggles. “Happier, but I’m not completely sober,” the rocker said when asked if he was happier. “I use a bit of marijuana from time to time.”

He also confirmed that his wife Sharon was helping him stay on the right path. “I’m lucky. My wife kicked my butt all the time, she would f*cking make life so difficult… Even the marijuana, she’ll f*cking find it and get rid of it.”

In 2010, a Massachusetts research company called Knome used a blood sample from Ozzy Osbourne to map his genetic code. They wanted to find out how he survived years of heavy drug and alcohol use. By studying his blood and DNA, the researchers hoped to understand how the body handles drugs and why some people can survive extreme substance use while others can’t. They found a new mutation that might explain Osbourne’s ability to drink large amounts of alcohol, as well as some genetic variations linked to drug and alcohol dependency.

However, even with his ability to consume great amounts of alcohol, the rocker regrets it today. “All I can say is, I’m 72 years of age. Most of the people that I drank with are dead. And the ones that aren’t, that still continue to drink, are going to be dead soon. It’s not a happy ending. If you want to carry on drinking, my hat goes off to you,” he said during another interview with Variety.

“I’m lucky. There’s nothing special about me. I should have been dead 1,000 times. I’m not being big-headed about that, or invincible. It doesn’t take much to kill you,” Osbourne added.

The rocker also said in 2018 that he doesn’t think going to a bar to get ‘smashed’ and do cocaine is fun anymore. He also hoped that God keeps him alive.
