Louder Sound revealed Ozzy Osbourne’s latest statement about Black Sabbath’s future following their Back To The Beginning concert.
Osbourne addressed questions about the band’s potential future performances after their recent show. His response about Black Sabbath’s future left no room for doubt.
“It’s very important. The original Sabbath will never be on stage together again,” Osbourne stated.
“From the late 60s, we’re probably one of the only bands where the original members are still alive and speaking with one another,” he added, reflecting on the band’s legacy.
This definitive statement emerges as the band prepares for their final performance.
Ozzy’s official website confirmed the Back To The Beginning concert will take place on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham. The event marks Black Sabbath’s first live performance in eight years. It will also be Ozzy’s first performance in seven years.
The historic event will reunite the original lineup—Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—for the first time since 2005. Ticketmaster UK noted that the concert proceeds will benefit several charities. These include Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Metal Insider highlighted that the farewell concert has achieved record-breaking ticket sales.
Nuclear Blast detailed the impressive supporting lineup for the event. Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and Pantera will join the celebration of Black Sabbath’s profound impact on heavy metal.
