Gene Simmons approves of Jimmy Fallon and Hannah Waddingham’s KISS cover.
“HANNA WADDINGHAM & JIMMY FALLON Duet!!…” the KISS bassist wrote in his post on X, sharing Fallon and Waddingham’s cover on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’
Waddingham appeared on Fallon’s show to talk about her role in ‘The Fall Guy,’ as NBC said. The movie’s soundtrack includes ’80s rock songs, like Yungblud covering KISS’s “I Was Made For Lovin’ You.”
After discussing filming in Australia, Fallon hinted at having Waddingham sing live for the American audience. She initially declined because she had plans. He then encouraged her. After some teasing, Waddingham grabbed the mic and performed her cover of ‘I Was Made For Loving You,’ with Fallon joining in. They sang the song together.
Yungblud released his version of ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’ on digital platforms in April of last year. It was for the soundtrack of the film ‘The Fall Guy.’ Paul Stanley reacted to it on X, writing, “A REALLY terrific new version and take on our classic. Yungblud NAILS it!!”
YouTuber Denis Pauna also shared a video called ‘If Metallica Wrote ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You” in June. Stanley also addressed it in a post, writing again on X, “GREAT song is ALWAYS a great song!”
Although KISS ended their career, Simmons is continuing touring with his solo band. The rocker initially announced a short U.S. tour for Spring 2025, originally scheduled for late April and May.
Simmons later added more dates to the tour, including stops in San Antonio, Texas, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Rohnert Park, California.
The Gene Simmons Band also includes guitarists Brent Woods and Zach Throne, along with drummer Brian Tichy.
