Oasis’ keyboard player Christian Madden recently addressed questions about the band’s reunion tour in a post shared on Christian Madden’s Substack. He provided insight into the backstage dynamics between the reunited members.

Madden clarified the nature of the interactions between Liam and Noel Gallagher during the tour. He emphasized that their reconciliation was genuine rather than performative.

“Did they really get on? Yes they did, it wasn’t over the top like, it was people being genuinely warm after forgiving each other and starting to tentatively move forward. What you saw was real,” Madden said.

The keyboard player also reflected on the tour’s various performances across different cities. He highlighted one particular show that stood out.

“Which was the best show, which city had the best crowd? They were all brilliant, everyone was amazing etc. Every South American gig was amazing. But it was Buenos Aries, night two. That crowd had to wait an hour due to safety checks too, they really went off when their time came,” he continued.

Madden’s account comes as part of the broader narrative surrounding one of rock music’s most anticipated reunions. The Oasis Live ’25 Tour marks a monumental moment for fans who have waited over 15 years to see the Gallagher brothers perform together again.

The reunion was officially announced on August 27, 2024, just two days before the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, according to Wikipedia’s Oasis Live ’25 Tour page. This announcement ended years of speculation and public back-and-forth between the siblings, who had not performed together since their infamous fallout at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009.

The tour itself is a sprawling global affair spanning five continents with 41 shows across Europe, North America, Asia, and South America, as documented by Voye Global. Major venues include Wembley Stadium in London, Heaton Park in Manchester, MetLife Stadium in New York, and the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles. The tour began on July 4, 2025, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. It is set to conclude on November 23, 2025, at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil—the very venue where Madden highlighted the exceptional Buenos Aires performance.

The reunion has generated unprecedented enthusiasm among fans and the music industry alike. Official Charts reported that the announcement of the reunion prompted six of Oasis’s releases to re-enter the UK charts. “Live Forever” reached a new peak position of #8. The demand for tickets was so high that additional dates were added in major cities, underscoring the cultural significance of this moment.

Madden’s insights into the genuine warmth between Liam and Noel backstage provide reassurance to fans who questioned whether the reunion was merely a commercial venture. His testimony that “What you saw was real” suggests that the brothers have truly moved past their decades-long feud. This makes the tour not just a nostalgic celebration but a genuine reconciliation of one of rock music’s most famous rivalries.
