Nita Strauss recently joined an interview on 94.3 The Shark and sent a message to fans looking for Alice Cooper hits during her solo performances.

Strauss is touring with Cooper since 2014. After their successful run last fall and winter, she embarked on another U.S. tour with Mammoth WVH. During the chat, she shared the excitement of touring with Wolfgang Van Halen but also addressed the expectations of some fans to hear Cooper classics during her solo shows:

“I think a little bit. I mean, you want to, of course, have everybody leave happy. You never want people to go, ‘Man, I wish I would have left hearing ‘I’m Eighteen’ or ‘Poison’ or ‘Billion Dollar Babies,” whatever it is.”

She Is Focused On Solo Material

She then discussed when she would be back with Cooper’s band:

“But I’m gonna come back. I’ll be at the PNC with Alice Cooper in a couple of months. You guys can come and see that show!’ Especially with a short set. I have a 40-minute set on this tour, and I just wanna hit him with everything that I have from this new record and show what I can do.”

Collaborative Efforts On The Latest Record

Strauss’ latest album, ‘The Call of the Wild,’ dropped in July 2023. She worked with names like David Drainman and Marty Friedman in the record. She discussed the differing approaches to recording in a MusicRadar chat last year:

“Marty was so meticulous on the song that we did together. I have a tendency to be a bit slap-dash with stuff, like I take my time with it but I don’t go back and re-do and re-do and re-do it. If it’s good, I can move on from it. And Marty really took a lot of time with every detail.”

‘The Call of the Void’ topped the charts upon its release. Strauss is currently touring the U.S. with Diamante and Starbenders as support. The tour started on March 12 in Worcester and will conclude on March 29 in Leander, Texas.
