Nine Inch Nails responded to the leaked tour announcement on X.
“Since some dates and information about our world tour have leaked we are confirming that yes we will be touring and will provide more details soon,” the band wrote in their post.
They continued, referring to the LA wildfires, “We are all watching the devastation that is unfolding in California and have paused our announcement while people try to deal with all that is happening.”
Rumors of a tour started on January 13 when fans on the Nine Inch Nails subreddit shared screenshots of Facebook events for upcoming shows. A fan shared a screenshot of a September 10 date for the Peel It Back World Tour in Tampa, FL.
Another fan found a Ticketmaster listing with tickets going on sale on January 17. The posts were removed quickly, but the leaked dates included shows in Brooklyn, Tampa, Atlanta, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Manchester, London, and Toronto.
The band hasn’t confirmed any of the dates yet, but the tour title hints at Nine Inch Nails’ 1994 song ‘March of the Pigs.’ This might mean that the tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of their album ‘The Downward Spiral.’
Nine Inch Nails haven’t performed live since their 2022 U.S. and U.K. shows. Before that, their last tour was in 2017-2018, with 69 shows worldwide, via Billboard.
The group revealed last month to The Hollywood Reporter that they are working on new music. Trent Reznor mentioned they’re channeling their inspiration into a new Nine Inch Nails project.
They first hinted at new material back in April in an interview with GQ, when Atticus Ross expressed excitement about starting their next record, saying they now have a clearer idea of what they want to do.
