Nikki Sixx isn’t backing down on his support for Mötley Crüe’s highly underrated record, ‘Generation Swine.’
Sixx recently posted a picture of his famous leather pants on X and wrote, “Generation Swine Chrome Hearts leather pants found in storage.” His nostalgic post started an interaction with a fan who explained their love for the ‘Generation Swine’ album.
Nikki took the fan’s comment as an opportunity to explain his newly acquired love for the album. The bassist stated, “I’ve fallen back in love with that album. So many great songs and I feel the lyrics stand on their own as well.” He also suggested fans listen to one of the songs and wrote, “Check out Let Us Prey…”
Crüe fans have been asking about Sixx’s opinion on the underrated record to understand why it got so much criticism. In a previous Q&A on X, the bassist explained, “It was a hard album to finish, and when we released it, and it didn’t fair well, I think everybody just wrote it off.”
‘Generation Swine’ marked Vince Neil’s return to the band since 1991’s ‘Decade of Decadence.’ The record was also Tommy Lee’s last album with the band until 2008’s ‘Saints of Los Angeles.’
