As the newest member of Mötley Crüe, John 5 has been currently hitting the road with the band during their 2023 the World Tour with Def Leppard. The guitarist’s touring bandmate, Nikki Sixx, recently took to Twitter to reveal that John 5 carried weird stuff in his backpack, but he wouldn’t share them so as not to embarrass him.
A touring musician’s backpack is essential in order to safely take whatever they may need on the road. We can predict that they will typically carry their instruments and accessories, technological tools to stay connected with fans and band members, and different types of clothing they can use for various weather and performance conditions.
However, it seems like John 5 also carries other stuff besides the typical things we can guess. In his recent tweet, Sixx initially praised the guitarist as a great friend and a fantastic guitar player. Yet, later, the bassist also wrote that the stuff John 5 carried in his backpack during the tour concerned him, as they were sort of embarrassing.
Nikki Sixx’s tweet read:
“Known John 5 for a really long time. Great friends, and of course, he’s a bad a** guitar player, but it’s kinda concerning to me the weird stuff he packs in his backpack on tour. Don’t ever ask him; I’d really hate him to be embarrassed.”
The Twitter users following Sixx crowded under his post and tried to make some amusing guesses about what John 5 might be carrying in his backpack. Some also encouraged the bassist to tell it as they were really curious. We’ll see if Sixx will share it in the coming days to satisfy the curiosity.
