Nightwish Reschedule Tour Dates Due To Floor Jansen’s Cancer Treatment

We’re on the home stretch; well, sort off! Remember when Nightwish lead vocalist Floor Jansen gave the best news about being cancer free? She had also said that she would undergo radiation therapy in February to ensure the cancer wouldn’t return. The band’s touring plans seem to have changed now as the band announced in their recent tweet that Jansen’s radiation therapy had to be rescheduled for January; as a result, they had to cancel shows in Asia.

“The last stage of getting Floor back to full health involves radiation therapy, which has been rescheduled from February to January,” wrote the team explaining the situation. “And so, as a consequence, we are unable to come to Asia as scheduled.”

The statement continued, “But don’t panic! All of our team are working solidly to ensure we all see you again soon.” It seems clear that their team is working endlessly to make sure Nightwish can get back on the road once again with new dates sooner than later.

After undergoing surgery to remove the tumor, the singer had shared that she couldn’t wait to hit the road for their postponed ‘HUMAN.:||:NATURE’ European tour with the support of Beast in Black and Turmion Kätılöt kicking off on November 20 and wrapping up on December 21 in Prague.

Even though the band had to say a brief goodbye to their fans in Asia due to her rescheduled radiation therapy dates, we still have quite a few dates left for the European tour. It might be a good idea to check out the dates of the other shows, especially if you cannot wait for the rescheduled Asia dates.
