After announcing her breast cancer diagnosis last month, Nightwish singer Floor Jansen shared that she had to undergo surgery to get rid of the tumor. After going through the surgery, she took to Twitter to give the good news to her fans that she came out the other side and was cancer free after the removal.
“Great news! I am cancer-free,” Janson wrote to share the most wonderful news with her fans that have been with her on this journey since she announced her diagnosis. She added, “The surgery took everything cancerous out, and it hasn’t spread! I’ll get local radiation therapy in February to make sure everything stays out.”
The singer continued, “I’m getting my energy back after the surgery and feel a huge relief to know it was successful! I’m not back to 100%, but I have no doubt the shows will give me the power push I need to rock with all of you on the upcoming European tour. Thank you for your amazing support and well wishes.”
After the excellent news Jansen received about her condition after the surgery, the vocalist is gearing up to hit the road on November 20 for their postponed ‘HUMAN.:||:NATURE’ European tour with the support of Beast In Black and Turmion Kätılöt. The tour will wrap up on December 21 in Prague.
