Neal Schon recently criticized the Rolling Stone for not including him on their annual ‘Greatest Guitarists of All Time’ list on X.

The rocker discussed the topic when a fan asked him what he thought about his exclusion from the list. Schon replied to the fan with a tweet, claiming the list was not necessarily ‘honest;’ he said:

“It’s ok. I’m in good company. RS is bought [several dollar emojis also featured].”

Schon Believes He’s In ‘Good Company’ With Other Magazines

He then pointed out to how Guitar Magazine had included him on their own lists of ‘greatest guitarists.’ Then, the Journey rocker encouraged everyone to have their respective lists for the honor, as he wrote:

“We are all in good company. Think we should all makea list of our own favorite guitarist.”

Where Does Guitar Magazine Places Schon On Their List Of ‘Greatest Guitarist’

It is reported that Guitar Magazine placed Schon as the 40th greatest guitarist of all time on their ‘The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.’ The list’s leader is Brian May as Jimi Hendrix follows him as the second greatest guitarist.
