Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx Is Seemingly Preparing For His Retirement

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx shared a post on his official Twitter page implying that he has been getting ready for his retirement while stating that the whole process has been exhausting due to the fact that he wants to go with a blast as Sixx has been working on countless projects for the past year.

For those of you who may not know, Nikki Sixx has been experiencing the most amount of activeness in his music career that spans over nearly five decades despite the coronavirus pandemic that affected every musician last year as well as his own band. However, Sixx has been focusing on other projects and has been releasing new music with other bands for the past few months, proving that he still has a lot to offer to his fans.

Starting by preparing himself both physically and mentally for the Stadium Tour which is going to be including bands such as Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts along with Mötley Crüe. In spite of the fact that the tour was initially set for the summer of 2020, it was postponed to this year just like every other public gathering due to the coronavirus pandemic, it recently once again pushed to the summer of 2022.

In addition to the Stadium Tour with his band, Mötley Crüe bassist has been focusing on his side band Sixx:A.M. which was formed in 2007 by Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba, and James Michael as a side project, and recently announced that he and other band members DJ Ashba, James Michael have been working on a project for the band.

As if these weren’t enough, Nikki Sixx seemed to be determined to fill his schedule and announced the release of a brand new song with a brand new band named L.A. Rats including Sixx himself, Rob Zombie, John 5, and Tommy Clufetos. The freshly formed band released ‘I’ve Been Everywhere’ over a month ago as a soundtrack for a Netflix movie and the track already has nearly 400k views on the band’s official YouTube channel.

Mötley Crüe bassist didn’t stop there as he has been working on his upcoming book, ‘The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx,’ for quite some time now and he recently revealed the cover of his brand new book as well as finally revealing the title for it. The book is mainly going to be including his origin story and will be released on October 10, 2021, currently ready for pre-order for his fans as well.

While his fans are extremely happy that they have been receiving new projects from the musician for the past couple of months and not questioning the reason why Nikki Sixx has been incredibly busy, it’s recently revealed by the bassist via a post on his official Twitter page. Apparently, Sixx has been planning to retire and go with a bang with all these projects which is tiring and overwhelming according to the musician.

In his latest Twitter post, Sixx shared:

“Stadium tour next year, new Sixx:A.M. this fall as well as a new book called The First 21. Just dropped an LA Rats song with Rob Zombie and John 5. This retirement thing is exhausting.”

After the announcement made by Mötley Crüe bassist himself, all of his fans felt disappointed as he clearly declared his retirement which was expected in a way since the Stadium Tour is most likely going to be the last tour of the band. However, Nikki Sixx is quite certain of ending his career with a bunch of projects that don’t seem to stop any time soon as he shared another tweet making another announcement that is going to be revealed tomorrow.

Mötley Crüe bassist’s tweet follows:

“Something cool coming tomorrow.”
