Nikki Sixx Works On A New Sixx: A.M. Record With DJ Ashba And James Michael
Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently shared a post on his official Twitter page announcing a brand new project with his sideband Sixx:A.M. and its members lead singer James Michael and lead guitarist DJ Ashba, adding another mission on his already very full plate, raising expectations of his fans.
As many of you know, Sixx:A.M. was formed in 2007 by Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba, and James Michael as a side project of Mötley Crüe bassist and the band has released five studio albums so far, starting from ‘The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack’ in 2007 which is based upon Sixx’s autobiography, ‘The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star.’
The band’s latest studio album, ‘Prayers for the Blessed, Vol. 2′ including 11 tracks was released on November 18, 2016, as the second half of the ‘Prayers for the Damned/Blessed’ double album first half of which ‘Prayers for the Damned’ was released seven months earlier.
Despite releasing two new singles after the fifth studio album such as ‘Talk to Me‘ back in 2019 and ‘Maybe It’s Time‘ in 2020 as the soundtrack for the movie, ‘Sno Babies,’ the band’s fans have been expecting another studio album to be released after waiting for five years.
Fortunately, Nikki Sixx recently shared a post on his official Twitter page announcing the thrilling news to his fans as he and other band members DJ Ashba, James Michael have been working on a project for Sixx:A.M. While the fans are guessing it’s most likely a studio album, Sixx didn’t give further details, only stated that the trio always make wonders while working together.
Here is what Sixx said:
“Been working on some Sixx: A.M. with James and DJ Ashba. There is always some kinda magic that happens.”
