Nikki Sixx Announces His New Book ‘The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx’
Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx finally revealed the project he had been hinting at for a while on his Instagram account. Sixx posted a picture of his upcoming book, ‘The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx,’ which will depict his origin story.
As you might know, Nikki Sixx has already written three books that explore different stories from his personal life and professional music career. He is the co-author of ‘The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band’ along with his bandmates Mick Mars, Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, and Neil Strauss. The book, which was released on May 22, 2001, reflects the iconic and crazy stories of Mötley Crüe.
Nikki released his second autobiographical book entitled ‘The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star’ on September 18, 2007. The book consisted of Sixx’s diaries, which were written between 1986 and 1987, and it depicted the times when he was struggling with drug addiction. Later, He released his third book, ‘This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography, and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx’ on April 4, 2011.
Previously, Nikki mentioned that his book was almost finished and the editing process was about to begin. In his recent Instagram post, he gave the good news to his fans by posting the cover of his new book. He also revealed the name of the book which is ‘The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx.’ According to his latest announcement, Nikki will tell his journey from Frank Feranna to becoming Nikki Sixx in his new book. The book will be released on October 10, 2021, yet it is currently available for pre-order.
