Mick Fleetwood Confirms He’s Also Suffered From The Deadly Catastrophe

The wildfires that broke out in Maui, Hawaii, on Tuesday have affected and destroyed over 271 structures in Lahaina. At least 36 people have passed away in the deadly wildfire, and several cultural sites are now gone. Mick Fleetwood’s property in the area got also impacted by the fires, as he revealed on Instagram.

The Fleetwood Mac drummer posted a picture of his bar and restaurant on the island, writing:

“Maui and The Lahaina community have been my home for several decades. This is a devastating moment for Maui, and many are suffering unimaginable loss. Fleetwood’s On Front Street has been lost, and while we are heartbroken, our main priority is the safety of our dear staff and team members.”

Showing his support for the locals, he went on:

“On behalf of myself and my family, I share my heartfelt thoughts and prayers for the people of Maui. We are committed to supporting the community and those affected by this disaster in the days, months, and years to come.”

Fed by the strong winds from a Category 4 hurricane, the fires have resulted in six reported deaths. Additionally, the disaster led to the evacuation of over 2,000 people from the affected areas.

On Wednesday, officials reported some injuries due to the fires, although exact numbers are yet to be shared. According to the acting Gov. Sylvia Luke, the full extent of the damage may remain unclear for months to come.
