Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s daughter, had to cover over 80 tattoos for the Grammys.
Jackson reportedly enlisted star celebrity makeup artist Tyson Fountaine to pull off the major transformation, which left her nearly unrecognizable at the Grammys. She spoke to Access Hollywood:
“I made a friend when I did [American Horror Story] a couple years ago. Tyson Fountaine, he did my body makeup for one of the nude scenes that I had. When I decided to do this with cover effects, I wanted to call him. I had my whole dream team. I had Tyson, I had Polly Blanch for face and Miles Jeffries for hair. It was just all the people that I love putting this together.”
When asked how many tattoos she has, Jackson had to do some thinking before revealing how many she and her team had to cover:
“That’s a really good question. A couple years ago, I counted more than 80, and I’ve since gotten more. But that’s counting like the little ones that don’t really count.”
Why She Covered Her Tattoos

The singer has various tattoos ranging from chakra symbols to minimal tattoos and larger symbols. As she refers to it, she likes to switch things up. But apparently, there’s another reason as to why she decided to cover all her tattoos. She said:
“Well, I like switching things up. I love my tattoos, I love my piercings, I love all the body modification stuff, art, and also sometimes I don’t want it to distract from the art that is the fashion I’m wearing. And it gives the dress its own moment, you know?”
