Megadeth have officially announced their last ever UK and European tour. The tour is titled Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations Europe Tour 2027. The legendary thrash metal band will perform across arenas in the UK in March, joined by Black Label Society and Testament.
Live Nation confirmed the news in an official statement.
“Megadeth are bringing Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations Europe Tour 2027 to arenas across the UK in March,” Live Nation announced.
Frontman Dave Mustaine spoke about the significance of the tour, framing it as a celebration of the band’s decades-long relationship with European fans.
“This isn’t about saying goodbye. It’s about celebrating everything we’ve built together over the last four decades. Every city has its own story, every crowd has given us unforgettable memories, and we want to come back to celebrate that with the fans who made it all possible,” Mustaine said.
Mustaine also addressed the decision to bring Black Label Society and Testament along for the tour.
“When we started talking about this tour, we wanted it to be a true celebration of metal. Black Label Society and Testament are bands we have tremendous respect for, and having them join us makes these shows even more special. This line-up represents decades of heavy music, and it’s going to be an incredible night for the fans,” he continued.
The European leg is a 24-date arena run. It kicks off on 9 March 2027 in Belfast and concludes on 13 April 2027 in Lisbon, marking the final chapter of Megadeth’s multi-year global farewell tour.
The UK dates span eight major arenas. Shows are confirmed at OVO Arena Wembley in London on 11 March, Co-op Live in Manchester on 13 March, OVO Hydro in Glasgow on 16 March, and First Direct Arena in Leeds on 19 March, among others. The scale of the venues reflects the band’s enduring status as one of the biggest names in heavy metal.
From the UK, the tour moves across continental Europe, taking in cities including Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Milan, Barcelona, and Madrid. The breadth of the routing underlines the tour’s billing as a true farewell to European audiences. Megadeth are set to visit some of the continent’s most iconic arenas and concert halls.
The announcement follows the overwhelming global success of Megadeth’s final studio album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. That commercial milestone has added further weight to the farewell narrative. The European tour now serves as the culmination of a career spanning more than four decades and producing some of the most celebrated records in thrash metal history.
Tickets are already moving quickly, with presales underway across multiple markets. In the UK, general sale dates are set for 7 August. Fan club and artist presales have already launched in several European countries. VIP packages are also available through the band’s official channels and Ticketmaster.
