Maynard James Keenan Announces The Release Of Puscifer’s New ‘Bullet Train To Iowa’ Video

Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan shared a post on the band’s official Instagram page announcing the release of a brand new music video for a track from ‘Existential Reckoning,’ named ‘Bullet Train to Iowa’ and the video includes Maynard in numerous characters such as ‘Billy D’ himself from the band’s upcoming live streaming show ‘Billy D And The Hall Of Feathered Serpents featuring Money $hot By Puscifer.’
‘Bullet Train to Iowa’ is a track from Puscifer’s fourth and latest studio album, ‘Existential Reckoning’ which was released on October 30, 2020. The album received generally positive reviews both from critics and fans as it debuted at number 7 on the US Billboard Top Alternative Albums chart.
Recently, Puscifer lead vocalist shared a post on the band’s official Instagram page announcing the release of the music video for ‘Bullet Train to Iowa’ and revealed that it stands as a bridge between the upcoming live streaming performance, ‘‘Billy D And The Hall Of Feathered Serpents featuring Money $hot By Puscifer’ and the previous show, ‘Existential Reckoning Live at Arcosanti.’
In addition to this, the music video was created by an award-winning digital artist Meats Meier who previously worked with Puscifer for its debut music video, ‘Queen B,’ in addition to many other videos, thus, this brand new video which is released on the band’s official YouTube channel has the same digital visuals on top of Maynard’s acting skills.
Here is what Maynard said:
“’The ‘Bullet Train to Iowa’ video (link in bio) is sort of a bridge between the Money $hot Live at the Mayan Theater performance (“Billy D and the Hall of Feathered Serpents”) and the Existential Reckoning Live at Arcosanti performance. Kind of like what ‘Rogue One’ is to the Star Wars films, but without the Storm Troopers and snarky robots.’ – Maynard
The clip was created by longtime collaborator, Meats Meier. Meats’ work with Puscifer spans the band’s history, from the band’s debut video, ‘Queen B,’ which saw the introduction of the group’s de facto mascot of the same name, to the special-ops laced ‘Dozo’ video, and most recently, the prescient ‘Apocalyptical’ clip, which features the visual wizard surfing the pandemic-swept streets of Los Angeles. ‘Bullet Train to Iowa’ also features a subtle nod to Money $hot, with the cowboys featured on the album’s cover, serving as bartenders in the newly released footage.”
