Mark Tremonti shared insights about his diverse musical personas in a recent interview with Guitar World.

“All my bands feel so different. It’s crazy going from the Sinatra shows, where I’m wearing a tux and playing with all of these incredibly gifted performers, to going over to Europe and playing in clubs with my heaviest band,” Tremonti said. “It’s definitely a different vibe.”

“You’ve got to take a different approach. I can’t get on stage with Tremonti and be like, ‘Hey, you all look beautiful tonight, thank you for coming to the event,’ like I would with a Sinatra performance,” he explained.

“When I do Tremonti, I become a different character. When it’s heavier music, I become a WWE wrestler: ‘Get up, everybody!’ Whatever the music pulls out of you, you know,” he continued.

Tremonti is currently preparing to promote new material with his namesake band. This marks a contrast from his recent Creed arena shows and Sinatra performances.

His versatility in performance styles showcases his recent musical evolution across various genres and artistic expressions.

Ultimate Classic Rock reported that Tremonti released his tribute album “Tremonti Sings Sinatra” on May 27, 2022. The proceeds benefit the National Down Syndrome Society, inspired by his daughter Stella’s birth in 2021.

MetalTalk highlighted how the COVID-19 pandemic created an unexpected opportunity for his Sinatra project. “I would have never had the time to focus on it, to practice it and to obsess about it,” he revealed.

The guitarist has maintained an active performance schedule throughout 2023 and early 2024. His Sinatra tribute shows, including performances at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ, demonstrate his smooth transition between hard rock and big band music.

His musical range spans multiple projects. Each band allows him to explore different artistic aspects – from Alter Bridge and Creed’s hard rock sound to the intricate heavy compositions of his namesake band Tremonti.
