Mark Hoppus Gives A ‘Post Cancer Recovery Update’

Mark Hoppus, Blink 182’s bass guitarist, tweeted a post-cancer recovery update on his Twitter and indicated that he gets more and more energetic every day.
As you may know, Hoppus was diagnosed with stage four diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in March and has been receiving chemotherapy. The bassist was happy to keep his fans up to date with his treatment and was active on social media. On September 29, he gave his fans the expected good news and stated that he was finally cancer-free.
Two weeks after the announcement, he stated that he will need to go to a final surgery to remove his chemo port, and he would finally be free. He seemed very happy, and his fans were supporting him all the way. Even though he beat the disease, because of the side effects of chemotherapy, it can take a while for the body to go back to its regular rhythm.
The immune system can still be compromised, making the patient prone to other diseases. The body can be weak, and it might take a while before the hair starts growing back out. Hoppus recovered from cancer, and he is now on his way to recover from the chemotherapy treatment. In his recent tweet, he stated that his old strength is coming back because he was able to stay up later than he used to.
Here is what he tweeted:
“Post cancer recovery update: tonight I made it to 8 pm before going to bed, and I kind of thought to myself, ‘Dude, you crushed it today.’“
Hope and optimism are the most important weapons of cancer patients. It is important to keep the morale up and stay positive even though it can be hard throughout the process. The bassist always seemed to be positive with his attitude towards the vicious disease and the treatment, and currently, he is more than happy, along with his fans to be better again.
