Marilyn Manson has officially returned. After his summer comeback tour and a few recent singles, the shock rocker has now released his first album in four years, ‘One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1.’

‘One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1’ follows Manson’s 2020 album ‘We Are Chaos,’ and is his first album released through his new label, Nuclear Blast. The album features film composer Tyler Bates on guitars, bass, guitarviol, and keyboards, as well as former Dillinger Escape Plan member Gil Sharone on drums. Both Bates and Sharone also worked with Manson on his 2015 album ‘The Pale Emperor’ and 2017’s ‘Heaven Upside Down.’ They are also part of Manson’s current live band, which now includes Reba Meyers from Code Orange and former Rob Zombie bassist Piggy D.

“‘One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1’ is the first half of my story,” Manson stated on social media. “These songs were conjured from purgatory, and are as raw as a row of broken teeth that slightly resemble a smile. My art is what I live for. This album means to me exactly what I choose it to mean. I hope when you listen it is the same for you.”

Manson’s return has not been without controversy. The rocker has faced accusations of sexual abuse from several women, but he denied all of them. He has fought these claims in court, and many of the cases have been settled or dismissed.

Manson’s 2025 plans are not yet clear, but he is scheduled to perform at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Florida next May. He will play on Sunday, the 18th, just before the night’s headliners, Korn.
