Lindsey Buckingham Cancels European Tour Due To Ongoing Health Issues

Fleetwood Mac’s former member Lindsey Buckingham recently shared a Twitter post and announced that he will be canceling the European Tour due to health problems.

Lindsay Buckingham’s long career at Fleetwood Mac came to an end in 2018. Besides his tenure in the band, which ended due to various disagreements with his bandmates, Buckingham had also continued his solo projects. After leaving the band, he released a solo compilation album consisting of the material he had written for many years. Although his departure upset Fleetwood Mac fans, this album was well-received.

Buckingham’s most recent studio album hit the shelves in the fall of 2021, and the ten new songs it featured were written in 2018. It is also known that the musician had open-heart surgery in 2019 while the album preparations continued, and he had to suspend some musical projects. Fortunately, the artist was able to recover, and both released his album and started a busy tour to promote it.

As the tour continued, Buckingham unexpectedly posted on Twitter and announced that he would not be able to perform on the European leg of the tour due to his health condition. The post did not reveal what this health problem was, and it was not disclosed whether he would quickly recover. After the cancellation announcement, the details of the ticket refunds were shared. It is clear that Lindsey did not write the post himself, which alarmed some fans.

Here’s what the post on Lindsey Buckingham’s Twitter said:

“Due to ongoing health issues, Lindsey is regrettably having to cancel the remaining shows on his current European Tour. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase. Lindsey sends his deepest apologies to all of his fans who were planning to attend and hopes to return to Europe in the future.”
