Irene Cara’s publicist announced that the artist passed away on November 25 at the age of 63. After this tragic news, the tributes started to pour. Lenny Kravitz also shared an emotional message on his Twitter account and described Cara as a great source of inspiration.

“Irene Cara, you inspired me more than you could ever know,” he wrote, revealing she was a major inspiration for him throughout his musical journey. Kravitz shared, “Your songwriting and vocals created pure energy that will never cease. You also defined an era that is so close to my heart.”
