Lady Gaga just revealed that she is working on a new album, but added ‘it’s not a rock album.’
The singer shared details about her upcoming album by offering a glimpse behind the scenes of her recording process on social media. She shared pictures of herself playing a guitar at a microphone and posted a recording studio video. This update follows her earlier hint at a new project earlier this month.
In the caption of her recent post, the singer wrote:
“No I’m not making a rock album.”
Of course, those words got fans thinking they were satire and that she had been working on a rock album. One user wrote:
“Or guys she’s teasing us saying she’s not making a rock album by actually making a rock album.”
Another shared their confusion:
“I can never tell if you’re joking or not.”
Another added:
“Okay so it’s a rock album.”
Another comment that received over 6,000 likes reads as follows:
“So is heavy metal? Yayyyy”
It’s unclear whether or not Gaga’s words are satire, but considering the fact that she took place in Rolling Stones’ recent album ‘Hackney Diamonds,’ it doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

Before her latest post, Gaga shared numerous posts from the studio. The recent glimpse into her time in the studio builds upon some photos Gaga shared last week, where she was diligently playing a keyboard, and earlier ones from January capturing her recording vocals. These snapshots have led fans to speculate that she might be working on a more rock-oriented project.
