Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine discussed the band’s future recording plans in a recent interview with RadioacktivaColombia.
“We’re so busy with touring that you need a moment for the band to join in the studio and create new music,” Meine said. “This 60-years-of-Scorpions celebration will take us one more time around the world to many places.”
“So it’s not the moment to create something new,” he continued. “But maybe a song or two might work, but not an album like ‘Rock Believer.'”
The band continues their extensive touring schedule while celebrating their 60th anniversary in the music industry.
The German rock legends have lined up significant plans for their anniversary celebration. This demonstrates their current focus on live performances rather than studio work.
A report from Classic Rock 96.5 revealed the band’s Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood. The shows run from February 27 to March 11, 2025, featuring Buckcherry as special guests.
The residency marked their third run at the same venue. This highlights the band’s sustained popularity in the live music scene.
“There couldn’t be a better way than to start 2025 in Las Vegas… come celebrate with us our 60th Anniversary,” Meine expressed about the residency.
YouTube Music noted that ‘Rock Believer,’ released in 2022, remains their latest full-length offering while new music stays temporarily on hold.
