In a new interview with Scorpions Brazil, frontman Klaus Meine was asked about his plans for a follow-up to their 2022 album ‘Rock Believer.’ He shared his concerns, saying:  “So there are a million good reasons to go back into the studio sometime soon. But, on the other side, these days, it’s not the time anymore really to make albums.”

“It might be good to record a few songs; that would be a good thing. But it’s always a good option to go back and to wake up your creativity,” he continued. “That’s always something great, and we enjoy this always. So I don’t know. But let’s see how it goes this year. And there’s so many shows coming up, and, yeah, we’ve gotta bring it on first before we make plans for what might come up in ’26.”

‘Rock Believer’ was mainly recorded at Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover, Germany, and mixed at Hansa Studios in Berlin with engineer Michael Ilbert.

Scorpions had planned to record in Los Angeles with producer Greg Fidelman, known for working with Slipknot and Metallica. However, due to the pandemic, they recorded some parts remotely and later took control of the process with engineer Hans-Martin Buff. The album was their first since ‘Born To Touch Your Feelings – Best Of Rock Ballads’ in 2017.

In other news, Scorpions announced a new tour in celebration of the band’s 60th anniversary. The ‘Scorpions – Coming Home to Las Vegas 60th Anniversary’ residency kicks off on February 27, and the band has four additional dates confirmed for March. Buckcherry will provide support.
