Judas Priest’s Hall of Fame performance was an unforgettable moment for the fans, but it also had another importance, as the show saw the former band members KK Downing and Les Binks perform with the band for the first time in years. Recently speaking to MetalTalk, Downing revealed that he became a part of the Rock Hall reunion so as not to regret it later.

“I have a lot of things on at the moment,” the guitarist said, “and initially, I thought it’s a lot of fuss. Can I really be bothered with going all the way over to Los Angeles to play three songs and break the ice with the guys? But when I reflected on it, it was the band I started fifty years ago, and I would probably regret it if I didn’t go. So I accepted the invitation.”

KK Downing retired from Judas Priest amid the Epitaph World Tour. His reason for leaving was differences with the band and management and conflicts within their relationship. However, after 11 years, the guitarist showed up for Judas Priest’s Hall of Fame Induction and shared the stage with the band.
