KissFAQ revealed that original KISS drummer Peter Criss has announced his first solo album in 18 years. The upcoming rock record will feature notable musicians, including John 5 and Billy Sheehan.

“I have my new rock and roll album to you, Kiss Army guys, coming out in the fall,” Criss said. “And I really hope you like it, man. And I wanna say God bless to each and every one of you.”

KISStorian Julian Gill previewed the album and shared his impressions. “Now, this is a hard rock kick-ass album, co-produced by Barry Pointer, who’s worked with Ozzy, Marilyn Manson, Fred Coury, Steve Stevens, amongst others, and, of course, John 5.”

The impressive lineup features Billy Sheehan and John 5 on guitars. Matthew Montgomery (Piggy D.) handles bass duties, while Paul Shaffer contributes on Hammond B-3 and piano. Mike McLaughlin (Angel) adds his ‘scorching guitar work’ to the mix.

This return to the studio marks a significant milestone in Criss’s career after his lengthy hiatus from solo recordings.

Ultimate Classic Rock documented that Criss’s last studio venture was ‘One for All’ in 2007. The new album showcases his return to hard rock roots.

Blabbermouth highlighted the production quality of the new album. Barry Pointer’s expertise enhances Criss’s powerful vocal delivery and his signature drum sound.

His official website announced Criss’s appearance at the New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival on April 25, 2025. The event implements strict COVID-19 safety protocols during fan meet-and-greets.

The collaboration with John 5 and Billy Sheehan opens a new chapter in Criss’s musical journey. This partnership combines decades of rock experience with fresh creative energy for the upcoming release.
