Kelly Osbourne paid a heartfelt tribute to her late father Ozzy Osbourne on Father’s Day. She shared one of his final messages in an emotional post on Instagram.

In her post, Kelly reflected on the grief of losing her father and the deep bond they shared. She revealed a tender exchange of messages that Ozzy sent her shortly before his passing.

“Dad, I still find myself looking for you in ordinary moments — the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I wish you could see,” Kelly wrote. “The ache of missing you is the price of loving you, and I would pay it forever rather than have never been your child at all! I will never stop missing you. It is an honor to spend the rest of my life loving you. Until we meet again!”

Kelly also shared the last text message Ozzy sent her. In it, he expressed how much joy his grandson Sid brought him during difficult times.

“You know what, whenever I’m feeling sick and miserable all I have to do is watch the video you sent of little Sid in the bath and it makes me so happy that it all just goes away. It really does,” Ozzy wrote.

In the same text, Ozzy opened up about his health and his love for his family.

“I just wish you were both still here. I really love both of you and all I want is for the two of you to be happy. And if there is ever anything you need from me, you only need to ask,” he continued. “I have decided that the days of gigs for me are over because I need my health a lot more. I don’t know how I’m gonna do back in England without seeing all my family. You all mean the world to me. But I’m sure we will all work something out. God bless the both of you. I love you, Dadda.”

Kelly’s response to her father’s message was equally warm and loving.

“Dad, I love you more than anything in the world. Sidney and I miss you terribly. Do you want to come over this weekend and see my house? Only if you feel up to it of course,” she replied.

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. His death came after years of battling serious health issues, including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis he made public in 2020 and a debilitating spinal injury sustained in 2019. The rock icon had long been open about his declining health. In his final years, he had stepped back from performing entirely.

Kelly’s Father’s Day tribute came just weeks after the family marked the first anniversary of his passing. Kelly, who shares a son named Sidney with her partner Sid Wilson of Slipknot, had been vocal about her grief in the months following her father’s death. The text messages she shared offered a rare and deeply personal window into Ozzy’s final chapter — a man still full of love for his family even as his health faded.

Ozzy officially announced his retirement from touring in 2023, citing his inability to walk long distances following his spinal surgery. The surgery came after a fall at his Los Angeles home and left him with lasting physical limitations that made performing on stage impossible. Despite the setback, he remained creatively active. He continued releasing music and staying connected with fans.

His final studio album, Patient Number 9, was released in 2022 and was widely praised as one of his strongest solo works in years. It featured collaborations with rock legends including Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and was seen as a powerful farewell statement from an artist who refused to let illness define his legacy.

Ozzy’s passing marked the end of an era for rock music. As the co-founder of Black Sabbath, he helped shape the sound of heavy metal and influenced generations of musicians. His family, including wife Sharon Osbourne and children Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, have continued to honor his memory publicly. They have kept his legacy alive in the months since his death.
