Journey Try Hard To Prove Neal Schon And Jonathan Cain Finally Made Peace

In a recent post on the band’s official Instagram account, Journey shared a photo of Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon together, making efforts to prove the two finally made peace.

The caption read:

“The Pisces BD brothers back and better then ever.”

Mixed Fan Reactions

Schon also shared this post on his Instagram story. However, reactions from fans varied, with some expressing joy at the apparent peace and others questioning its sincerity. A positive message said:

“Life’s way too short! Love seeing you two brothers back on good terms. You guys created a wonderful thing; it’s time to enjoy it!”

Another fan shared a different perspective, as they wrote:

“They’re like Gene & Paul… Fire everybody, more money for us… How much is enough, I wonder… Seriously.”

Escalation Of Tensions

In November 2022, tensions escalated within Journey as Schon filed a lawsuit against Cain, sparking a highly publicized feud. The dispute stemmed from financial disagreements, with Schon accusing Cain of mishandling the band’s finances and setting up a shared AMEX card without his consent.

The keyboardist responded with a countersuit, alleging that Neal’s extravagant personal expenses, totaling over $1 million, were draining the band’s funds and hindering their ability to cover tour expenses. His lawyers said:

“Schon’s use of the shared AMEX card for personal expenses created serious liquidity problems for the band as the AMEX balance had to be paid every month, and there were insufficient revenues to pay for other expenses as Schon saddled Journey with over $1 million of his personal expenses.”

Deen Castronovo’s Recent Update

The situation reached a turning point in January 2024 when Journey’s drummer, Deen Castronovo, revealed that Cain and Schon had reconciled their differences. The musician explained:

“John and Neil mended fences. Everything is great. You know, to see those guys embrace each other like hugs and stuff, everybody [gave] a sigh of relief. Thank God, man. ‘Cause it’s not fun to be on the road and know that there’s an animosity. It’s like you dread going to work because you don’t know what you’re gonna face, and it’s gone.”

He continued by stating that John and Neil, along with Michaele [Salahi] and Paula [White], are collaborating on their projects. They are working diligently and remaining focused on their goals. Despite being physically apart from Arnel Pineda, who is in the Philippines, they maintain communication.
