Jon Bon Jovi is open to working with his former bandmate, Richie Sambora, once again.

During a recent interview with Audacy Check In to promote Bon Jovi’s upcoming album ‘Forever,’ and the Hulu series ‘Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,’ Jon Bon Jovi was questioned about the potential for a one-time concert featuring the band’s former guitarist. He replied:

“Hey, the door would always be open. It’s not that. But 11 years ago, for reasons that were certainly nothing to do with the band, he walked out. There was no animosity, there’s nothing but love. But we had a show that night, and subsequently had one the next night, and for 11 years, I’ve been making records and doing shows. So everyone knows where the bus stops. You show up at work… But there’s nothing but love. And so Richie’s gone off on his own and he raised his daughter. So if he wanted to show up and play sometime, he knows the songs. Absolutely no animosity, I can promise you that.”

Are Sambora And Jon Bon Jovi In Touch?

Earlier, Jon revealed that he hasn’t spoken ‘a word’ to his former bandmate.

This information emerged as both artists are featured in the new Bon Jovi docuseries. Despite their notable roles in shaping the band’s legacy, Jon Bon Jovi mentioned that they did not cross paths during the production of the documentary. When asked whether there was communication between the pair about ‘Thank You, Goodnight,’ Jon responded:

“Not a word. That was [director] Gotham Chopra. This wasn’t a puff piece and this was no bullshit. This is not us behind the scenes pulling strings. Oh, no, no, no. They interviewed Richie in London. I wasn’t there. I had nothing to do with it. No, I still haven’t seen the [finished] product.”

In addition to this, Jon revealed that they were not on bad terms and that they were just no longer in touch.

New Bon Jovi Album’s On The Way

In addition to ‘Thank You Goodnight,’ Bon Jovi is set to drop a new album titled ‘Forever’ on June 7. The album’s lead single, ‘Legendary‘ is out now. During an earlier interview, the rocker revealed what matters to him anymore and what the song really means:

“What matters to me anymore is just being here with my friends, writing the song I want to write, living the life I want to live. And my brown-eyed girl, which of course is a Van Morrison nod, but not in this instance — it’s my wife. And she has been there faithfully throughout this process. ‘And the brown-eyed girl, she believes in me, legendary.’ There it is. And that’s who and what I am at 62 years old.”
