Joe Elliott recently confirmed that Def Leppard has completely overhauled their approach for their third Las Vegas residency, as reported by People. The run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace kicks off on February 21, 2026. It runs through March 1, spanning 10 shows.

The Def Leppard frontman explained how the band has abandoned their traditional touring format to create something entirely new for Vegas audiences. This residency follows their successful 2022 and 2023 stints in the same venue, which drew massive crowds.

“We’ve scrapped everything we’ve ever used over the last five or six tours, which was adapted all the way, but we’ve just actually got rid of it and came up with a whole new stage show, including set list,” Elliott said.

Elliott also highlighted the unique lifestyle change that comes with a Vegas residency compared to traditional touring. The band, known for hits like “Pour Some Sugar on Me” from their 1987 album Hysteria, will deliver reimagined performances of fan favorites.

“The biggest difference really is unpacking your suitcase,” he continued. “I’ve never done that. I’ve never hung my clothes up in a wardrobe on tour in 46 years of touring and put the suitcase away. It’s just a different world. I’ve owned houses for less time than I will have stayed in this room when we leave.”

This latest Vegas venture represents another milestone in Def Leppard’s evolving relationship with the entertainment capital. It builds on their previous successful residencies while promising an entirely fresh experience for longtime fans.

Def Leppard’s Vegas residencies have become increasingly popular among rock bands seeking to offer fans intimate, high-production experiences. The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has hosted numerous legendary acts. This makes it a prestigious venue for the British rock legends to showcase their reinvented performances.

The band’s decision to completely overhaul their stage production demonstrates their commitment to keeping their live performances fresh and engaging. After decades of touring, this approach allows them to experiment with new creative elements. They can maintain the energy and spectacle fans expect from a Def Leppard show.

Elliott’s comments about the lifestyle differences highlight how Vegas residencies have transformed the touring landscape for established artists. The stability of staying in one location allows bands to focus entirely on perfecting their performances. They no longer need to deal with the logistics of constant travel.

The upcoming residency promises to showcase both classic hits and potentially new arrangements. This gives fans a unique opportunity to experience Def Leppard’s music in an entirely new context. This marks a significant departure from the band’s previous Vegas shows and touring experiences, promising fans a completely fresh Def Leppard experience.
