The guitarist commented under a post discussing Wilson’s exit and asked fans to stop speculating about what happened.

“More to come, but please have respect and stop all the speculation. Focus on the music.”

Root’s comment comes after Slipknot confirmed that Wilson was no longer part of the group.

The band said:

“Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Slipknot did not explain the reason for the split.

That lack of detail quickly led to speculation about what happened behind the scenes. Some reports claimed there had been tension between Wilson and other members of the band, but Slipknot has not publicly confirmed those claims.

Root’s response does not explain the situation either, but the phrase “more to come” suggests that further information may be shared later.

The situation has also drawn attention because Slipknot had reportedly posted about Wilson’s exit once before, then deleted the message.

Wilson later appeared to acknowledge the split himself by updating his Instagram bio to show the years of his time with the band.

For now, Root is asking fans to avoid rumors and focus on Slipknot’s music while more details remain unclear.

Wilson joined Slipknot in 1997 and spent nearly three decades with the group before his departure in 2026.
