Might Sebastian Bach be sending subtle signs of forming a new band?
The former Skid Row frontman took to Instagram and shared two short videos of himself with Mark McGrath and Vanilla Ice, captioning it ‘the trio you didn’t know you needed.’ “New Band Announcement: Sugar Vanilla Skid Ray Row. The trio u did not know u needed! Featuring my buds Mark McGrath, Vanilla Ice. We had a super fun time last night in Orlando with Sugar Hill Gang & the girls from Chic! What a diverse lineup I do say! But it worked! A great time was had by all,” he wrote.
Since his departure from Skid Row, the singer has been going on solo tours and trying to get in touch with his former band. However, his attempts have been in vain. It doesn’t seem like the rest of the members are keen on reuniting with him.
“Right now we’re actively auditioning vocalists. We’ve had a few good guys. We’ve got a couple of people coming down [to audition] in November,” Rachel Bolan said during an interview with Loudwire Nights.
Bolan also mentioned that more celebrity collaborations might happen after the positive response to their work with Hale: “Yeah, we may do some more celebrity collabs, ’cause a few of our famous friends are, like, ‘I like that Lzzy stuff.’ And they’re, like, ‘I wanna do that.’ And we’re, like, ‘Okay, cool. Let’s try it out.’ The whole thing is just when they’re not touring.”
Bach tried to reach out and reunite with his former bandmates many times, but all of them failed. The rocker extended an olive branch to Scotti Hill with a social media post, saying that it had been a long time since they were in a room together. However, Hill didn’t respond to the post.
Dave Snake Sabo also doesn’t think a reunion with Bach is possible. “It’s not gonna happen,” he said in a chat. “And I say the same thing every time. I’m thankful that people have such an interest in wanting to see that happen, but I also have to reiterate that this is about being happy in the situation that you’re in. So I’ll speak for myself personally.”
Meanwhile, Bach finished his solo tour just recently. He thanked everyone involved on social media and posted the gifts he received. Many of the gifts were KISS-related.
