Iggy Pop Explains How He Deals With Biggest Life Regrets

Everyone has regrets, and if you’re Iggy Pop’s age, you may have many. Speaking to Classic Rock, Iggy shared his wisdom on how he has dealt with some of his biggest life regrets, offering insights that can benefit many of his fans.

Iggy Pop has lived a life full of ups and downs. From his early days as the frontman of The Stooges to his solo career spanning over five decades, he has seen it all. Yet, despite his success as a rock icon, the 75-year-old musician, too, has experienced regret and moments of self-doubt.

In a recent interview with Classic Rock, Iggy looked back on his life and revealed if he has any regrets in mind. Saying he wouldn’t share the personal ones, Iggy admitted there were indeed times that things didn’t go well for him. Following that, he revealed what he does in these moments.

According to the musician, one should check their skill level and gamesmanship to feel good about their life despite their regrets. Iggy said he looks at his skill level and tries to improve himself for the future instead of feeling blue, to try better the next time.

Asked if he has any regrets, Iggy Pop said the following:

“Personal ones. I wouldn’t share them. Look, when there are times that things don’t go well enough, so you feel good about things, you have to say: ‘Let’s look at my skill level. Life is a great experience but also requires gamesmanship. You have to play, so let’s look at my skill level and try to improve it in the future instead of moping.’ That’s what I try to do; I see if I can try a little better all the time.”

So, Iggy Pop suggests his fans first look at their skill levels in regard to the things they regret. He then says their next move should be improving their skills to try again instead of lamenting their past.
