Glenn Hughes has announced the cancellation of his entire 2026 US tour due to health concerns, as reported by Glenn Hughes on X.

The legendary rock vocalist’s team released an official statement explaining the difficult decision to cancel all scheduled live performances.

“2026 Live Shows Cancelled. We regret to inform you that due to a minor health issue that requires his attention over the upcoming months, Glenn Hughes has made the difficult decision to cancel his 2026 USA Tour,” the official announcement stated.

Hughes also provided a personal message to his fans regarding the situation.

“I’m taking advice from my medical team, who I am working closely with,” Hughes said. “Hoping to see you, on the road of happy destiny.”

The announcement did not specify the exact nature of the health issue. It described it only as a “minor health issue” that requires ongoing medical attention over the coming months.

The cancellation affects a significant touring schedule that was set to showcase Hughes’ enduring musical legacy across the United States.

Blabbermouth reported that the tour was scheduled to begin on March 27 in San Juan Capistrano, California. It was set to conclude on May 10 in Tempe, Arizona. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and former Deep Purple bassist had planned an extensive spring tour that would have brought his powerful vocals and bass performances to venues across the country.

Hughes’ musical career spans over five decades. During this time, he earned the nickname “The Voice of Rock” for his distinctive vocal range and style. Blues Rock Review noted that Hughes remains active as the current frontman of rock supergroup Black Country Communion. This demonstrates his continued commitment to music despite the current health setback.

The statement also addressed practical concerns for fans who had already purchased tickets. WDRV confirmed that ticket and VIP upgrade refunds will be available from the original point of purchase. This ensures that fans can recover their investment in the cancelled shows.

Hughes’ team indicated that future touring plans will be revisited once his health allows. This suggests that this cancellation may be temporary rather than a permanent retirement from live performance. The musician’s dedication to his craft and his fans remains evident in his careful approach to managing his health while maintaining his musical commitments where possible.
