Drummer Gil Moore recently addressed confusion surrounding the lineup for Triumph’s 2026 reunion tour. He provided clarity in a statement shared on The Afternoon Rock Ride With Bilal.

Moore emphasized that both he and vocalist Rik Emmett will perform the entire show. He dismissed speculation that either member would be absent from the stage.

“There was a lot of confusion, I think, that came from a number of sources and so on, and that’s why we posted [a statement on our social media clarifying that]. But Rik and myself will be on stage playing the whole show,” Moore said.

The band has assembled an expanded lineup to support the reunion. Guitarist Phil X, who previously toured and recorded with Triumph in 1992, will join the core duo. Additionally, keyboardist Mike Levine is expected to appear at select shows. Drummer Brent Fitz and bassist Todd Kerns—both from Slash’s band—will provide additional support.

“With us, we brought Phil X back into the band, who, of course, played a tour with us and recorded an album with us in 1992. So we got a double-barreled shotgun on guitar. And we’re hoping Mike Levine will be there. He’s gonna be at selected shows, but Rik and I will be at every show. And we also have — we borrowed Brent Fitz and Todd Kerns from Slash’s band, so they’re gonna be there to help us as well,” Moore explained.

Moore noted that while the band may rotate performers for certain songs during rehearsals, he and Emmett will remain the primary performers throughout most of the show. He also revealed that he has been working with a vocal coach to prepare for the demanding vocal parts.

“I mean, it’s possible that we’ll take a break for a song or something like that and pass the baton around, so to speak. But I would say for the majority of the show, we’ll [Rik and I] both be on stage,” Moore said. “Rik’s got a lot of vocals that are very high, and I did too, so I know that I’m working… I actually got a vocal coach to start getting back in shape and stuff, so I’m gonna sing as many of my songs as I can.”

Regarding Levine’s limited availability, Moore attributed it to personal circumstances. He confirmed the keyboardist remains actively involved in tour planning.

“Well, Mike [Levine], he’s had some struggles, so that’s why I say he’ll be at select shows as he’s able, but he can’t commit to being at all the dates. He’s very, very pumped up about the tour, so he’s very much part of everyday discussions with TRIUMPH,” Moore concluded.

This clarification comes as Triumph prepares for one of rock music’s most anticipated comebacks. Eddie Trunk’s official website reported that the band announced their first full tour in over 30 years, celebrating their 50th anniversary with the “Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded” North American tour launching in late April 2026. This marks a significant milestone for the Canadian rock legends, who last toured together in 1993.

The original trio of Rik Emmett, Gil Moore, and Mike Levine has reunited for limited shows in recent years. Loudwire noted that the 2026 tour represents their most comprehensive reunion effort since their initial breakup. The expanded six-piece lineup reflects the band’s commitment to delivering a full-scale production worthy of their legacy.

Phil X’s involvement adds another layer of continuity to the reunion. A recent YouTube interview revealed that Phil X previously filled in for Rik Emmett in the early ’90s and has recently rejoined the band. He brings his experience as the current lead guitarist for Bon Jovi to the Triumph stage. This dual role demonstrates the caliber of musicians the band has attracted for this special tour.

The tour kicks off in Canada in late April 2026. Tickets went on sale on December 12, 2025. Eddie Trunk’s announcement confirmed that the tour is being produced by Live Nation and will span both Canada and the United States throughout the spring and early summer months. For fans who have waited decades to see Triumph perform together, the 2026 reunion tour represents a rare opportunity to witness rock history in the making.
